Benchmark Augusta Homes, LTD was started by Ben Brush in 1980. It has been a family business dedicated to building family affordable homes above and beyond the minimum standards and codes. Along with a dedicated staff and Mr. Brush looking over their shoulder, Benchmark is now operating by fourth and fifth (4th & 5th) generation builders; Joey Brush, managing partner and, B.J. Brush, his son and construction manager. They both have grown up working in all aspects of the business and are ready to accept new challenges. While “BJ” manages day to day field production to maintain the schedule and expected quality; Joey oversees warranty operations as well as managing Brush Development Company and Brush and Company marketing. Joey Brush is a board member of the Builders Association of Metro Augusta and serves on the Drainage Basis Advisory Board for Columbia County. “We take very seriously the reputation my father (Ben J. Brush, Sr.) built as one of the best building company’s in the state of Georgia. We work everyday to maintain that reputation with our buyers and neighbors.”

For several years, Art and Cyndi Barrera have been building homes together. Cyndi Brush-Barrera is a fourth generation builder, born and raised in the industry. She started in her youth spending time at the job-sites while her father Ben Brush worked. As a teen, she worked as a staff member in his office learning the business from the ground up. Art Barrera managed several construction projects during his career and is now, along with Cyndi, part of Brush & Associates, LLC. The company has teamed up with Ben Brush d/b/a Benchmark Augusta Homes, LTD. building homes in Grovetown and Harlem, Georgia. Art and Cyndi are committed to building quality homes at competitive prices and stand by their homes for value and excellence. The company is a member of the Builders Association of Metro Augusta and the International Codes Council. They are one of a few builders authorized by Bonded Builders Home Warranty Association to offer a fifteen-year warranty on their homes and hold an outstanding claims-free record in home warranties.
